The Children's Cancer Society (CCS) stands firmly committed to strengthening the non-profit sector by enhancing the public's understanding of the charitable sector.
In addition, CCS is committed to enhancing awareness and education of children's cancer.
According to the National Cancer Institutes research on childhood cancers, in the United States in 2005, approximately 9,105 children under age 15 will be diagnosed with cancer. Over the past 20 years, their has been an increase in the incidence of children diagnosed with all forms of invasive cancer. During the same time, however, survival rates have increased for most childhood cancers.
